EXPERIENCE-ART | "Onar" By Paul Debebe

This was a more recent project that i had a team of artists to manage. A beautiful experience but also a very demanding one. The expo was about dreams and the way that they impact our lives. The following video is a speech that i gave about dreams but the language is Greek but you can watch it just for the energy of it. The final message was this:

"We have take a million steps outside of ourselves, the only thing that i am asking you to do is to take only one step inside yourself, that's what i am trying to do through my artwork"

Prima Materia

In alchemy, Prima materia, materia prima or first matter, is the ubiquitous starting material required for the alchemical magnum opus and the creation of the philosopher's stone. It is the primitive formless base of all matter similar to chaos, the quintessence, or aether. The main substance is broken down in three components. Spirit, Mind and Body. These represent the following: Sulfur, Mercury and Salt or Emotion, Thoughts and Flesh, or Water-Fire, Air and Earth. The first two, Emotion and Thought are the female and the male, that become ONE inside the third element, the element of the earth, male and female inside the body.

Self-Less

This was inspired by a spiritual exercise in which you imagine for three days that you do not have a head, that you are head less. This causes the mental center to stop a bit and the other centers, especially the heart center is starting to function again, it makes you more compassionate and loving.

Castle

This painting came in a dream actually. Three years ago i had a very vivid dream. I was in an art museum and i was looking at paintings that i had never seen before. My mind was filling and creating in blank canvas. The manager of the museum stopped in this particular painting and told me the following words: "The castle is the earth. The thunder is the curse that fell upon earth. The First row is the place of humans. The second row is the place of the magician that sucks the energy out of them and he gives it to the king of the world. And the last row is where the king sits and speaks with the jaw that devours the earth" Those are the exact words that he told me. It was very vivid. I woke up i drew the painting fresh and i wrote the words immediately so i would not forget. This project was the perfect opportunity to make the painting available to the public with the message.

Astral-Projection

This was inspired from my astral projection experiences. This is the moment the astral body is leaving and rolls out of the physical one.
