The tall silhouettes of giants as they stride across the horizon. Stretching out their fingers, their heads brush the clouds.
The beautiful shapes and textures of the landscape in winter. The pale colours of the soft grasses layer the rusting ferns. Black shapes dominate the skyline against the low winter sun.

I think it is my upbringing in Western culture, where we begin reading left to right, but my eye follows a flow in the sky that goes left to right, then drops to the water that seems to flow right to left, making a circle.
I am very conscious of the fact that I paint from left to right, would I paint the other way if I read right to left? I think I would.
