To the sky...

Heads are raised to the sky as the spring sunshine awakens the garden. That zesty yellow of new growth is pushing itself up through the borders. It seems the garden is buzzing with energy and those spring yellows and greens are electrifying.

The yellow flowers in the picture are poppies. I had one self seed in my garden last year, I loved it so much that I dried out the seed heads and this year planted them all around my garden. I also have purple poppies in my garden, but they flower later than the yellow ones.
The purple flowers beneath the yellow poppies are aquilegias, their flowers haven't quite opened up yet. I have about 5 varieties of aquilegias in my garden in a multitude of colours, my favourite ones are blue and white.

So lovely! I was just about to do some planting and the weather turned on us, now I have potted flowers lining my indoor porch. Fickle NY, it will probably go from forties to seventies :)

We had snow not that long ago, then I'm putting on the sun cream, back to the normal grey weather today though!
I won't be planting out most of my seedlings until June as things like tomato plants don't like strong variations in temperature- which is what we are currently having in the UK.

I've never seen yellow poppies! they are beautiful!
Congrats for this artwork, I love te colors that you choose ^_^

Meconopsis cambrica, the Welsh poppy

I have to say their name to my mom, she's a great gardner (more than me ^_^)

I was lucky it found it's way into my garden. They self seed all around here- but up to last year I didn't have any in my garden.

I admire your garden lady @opheliafu that beautiful flowers, an ideal place to receive good inspirations, the work is beautiful, thank you very much for sharing

Thank you, I spend my time between my art and gardening.

Love the yellow with the blue background. Pretty flowers :)

Thank you :D

Beautiful yellows... we get lots of "California Poppies" around here, but they are more orange.

I have seen an orange version of these poppies too- but they aren't the same as what you have. The Californian poppy I think has a finer foliage than the Welsh.

I really looooove your drawings, they are sooo cool and awesome.I have never ever seen anyone ever draw like that.

Thank you for liking my @cmgsteems! :D

Gorgeous picture, I can imagine how beautiful your garden looks

Another picture to stick on your window? I feel a bit bad for posting these considering the current status of your garden.

Your making me feel really guilty for not trying harder. So its your fault lol

Just throw a load of wild flower seeds down and have a nice wild flower meadow.

Its all pots, I have got all the seeds just need the pots filled and garden tidied

Garden maintenance is hard work! They look beautiful, but it's hard work getting there. Worth it for the 2 months of the year we get sunshine though- or that's what I keep telling myself!

It would be so much easier if I want disabled, My garden would be done but its getting harder each year. That's the downside you just get your garden the way you like it then the weather spoils things

I need to change half my pots after the frost destroyed them, but I don't want to go to the hassle of repotting.
