A super small painting for Saturday!
This is a product of some experimentation with paint yesterday. I had used this offcut of mount-board to flick paint with a toothbrush. When I came to tidy away the mess I couldn't throw this little piece of card away, I thought the colours and effect on it were beautiful. So, I decided to make it into a painting in its own right.
I was going to crop the base of the board to make a neat rectangle, but I liked the texture of the exposed board and the way it absorbed the paint. I kept the board's irregular shape and used the torn area as the earth and roots of the tree.
It's only a small painting, but I have already found a home for this tiny beauty.
Very good job will follow you in your post
I never used the toothbrush for my paintings, but it's an interesting idea! Your tiny painting is so beautiful, congrats! ^_^
Thank you, I have an unusual collection of 'tools' that I use for painting!
What a beautiful art :')
I would love to paint too ! I have an easel at home, I should try to paint the music inside me !
Definitely! Why not draw whilst listening to your music, see what shapes are formed?
Good idea ! I will try ! When I'll do it, I'll post it on steemit and tag you !
You may find the work of Kandinsky and the connections between the visual and auditory an interesting place to start your journey.
It's pretty interesting ! It look like Synesthesia ! It's pretty abstract, I like it !
I studied organic architecture, so I would love to paint urban and natural landscape, like Living buildings :) I love fantasy too so... why not a jazzy flying city-forest !
Yeah, exactly ! Some peoples see colors when they heard music/noises, other can ear what they are looking at... This is very special ! It can be connect to the other sens like smellling ideas ! For artistes this is a nice aptitude, it give a lot of inspiration. Scientifically, I wounder if there is a connection between the vibrations of each sens, if the synesthetes transpose a sensation to another sens with the same intervals and harmonics !
That sounds an interesting idea. Elaborate on the synesthesia, are you talking about the cross-sensory phenomena?
The painting is beautiful, congratulations lady @opheliafu great job
I love it! So creative. I've personally been saving scraps of material, boards and wood for crafting and painting. And we're on about 6-months on our old toothbrushes. It looks like I may have some new tools for my supplies collection. LOL
Funnily enough I thought about you when I made this!
It is absolutely fantastic! I love it!
