An experimental painting made with an old paintbrush, watercolours and masking fluid.
The patterns are inspired by the beautiful markings on the bark of silver birch trees. To apply the watercolours I used a flicked paint technique for the background and then a wet brush for the tree bark.
The Outcome
I wanted to create the impression of a white silhouette against the darkness of night. What do you think?
Its lovely Well done :)
Thank you 😀
