Small independent galleries can be a difficult road... we love working with the artists and giving them as much exposure as possible; the difficult part is setting artists up to accept realistic expectations-- now their work is among other artists' work, and no, it is unlikely that we will sell "dozens of pieces" every month. There are many lovely pieces here that may hang on the wall for 3, 6, 12 months before the right buyer falls in love with it. Selling art is not like selling cookies! So we have to-- very gently-- shatter a few dreams.
On the other hand, a great showing can be an amazing confidence booster and it's lovely to watch an artist grow and prosper!
