Moon Flowers

With the silent footsteps of Jack Frost and under the shimmering moonlight, the moon flowers grow. Speckled with starlight they glow like lanterns against the silhouettes of a winter's night.

Acrylic paint rolled onto book text. Paint pen details added. Size: approx 12 cm x 19 cm.

I like the blue-on-blue of those flowers, especially their flowerheads. Your work is so nice - it seems very clean, even though there are layers of looseness, too, like the background in this one. Way to use the old books, too.
I'm very glad that you like it. I'm conflicted at times with my taste. I would happily live in a minimalist house if it wasn't for my eclectic hoarding!
It's not hoarding -- artists need their supplies! ; )
Beautiful white flowers! They make me think of cotton flowers!
Yes! They are like cotton flowers, I used to have one sitting in my studio.
Beautiful! Totally intrigued by the book painting stuff!
Free paper, lol!
Obviously a bit more to it than that it terms of aesthetics. But, free paper is always good too.
Lies and lots of free paper! Hehe, i couldn't see past the funkiness and never even thought it that for a second!
In honesty, it's nice to paint over things other than blank pages, and book text has always been a favourite of mine.
So beautiful and original!!
Beautiful moon flowers! I love the overlay / contrast of black text in the background :)
beautiful and fluffy. it makes me happy looking at this.
