Book angels
A bit more experimentation today, and a lot more mess!
I created these angels by rolling acrylic paint on to book pages, and then leaving it to dry. I used oil pastel and wax to draw the images of the angels and then added watercolour over the oil pastel.
The watercolours resisted the wax and oil pastels, so once dry they left a speckled effect on the waxed areas of the paper and the colours soaked into the non waxed areas.
I completed the picture using metallic pen to add accents of silver.
The outcomes
I now have a bit of a mess to tidy up!

I love the water resist effect on the oil pastels, its very interesting. You will have plenty of beautiful angels for christmas :D

It was such a pleasure watching you work, @opheliafu. I think some of your creative energy rubbed off on me. And thanks for showing the aftermath of the project - there's always cleaning up. And it's easy to fall behind there.

When you are doing your art experimentation, do you just internalize and memorize what happens? Or do you keep track in notes or some systematic way? I'm not an artist, and I'm impressed with all the technique that artists experiment with. How do you keep track of it all?
I store it all in my head, there is a lot of information buzzing around in there!
