To her they tasted different from tears of sadness, maybe it was just her imagination, but they tasted sweeter. She swept them away from the corners of her mouth and across her cheeks. A glistening trail sparkled across her skin, picked up by the halogen spotlights above her.
She slid open the kitchen draw and took out a small lump of blu-tack, she rolled it in her fingers, making it warm and malleable. She'd forgotten what she was doing before the post landed on her door mat. An acrid smoke was rising from the cooker grill as her breakfast slowly turned to charcoal. Only the shrill beeping of the smoke detector snapped her out of her trance. She wiped her face once more and stuck the picture to the fridge door.

That was truly emotional...
