How to look at art according to nobody

Sometimes it's difficult to look at art without a negative opinion. But know you can appreciate every art in its own right equally, if you put some effort into it.

It can happen that you bump into art, in a galery, on the internet or at a street corner and you immediately like, love or are shaken by it. It just moves something right away on the inside and this shapes the way you see yourself and your surroundings.

But most of the time according to my own experience when I see an art piece in whatever form it comes a photograph a paintig a music piece or a poem I judge fast and often in a negative way.

If this happens I have to know that the material I'm confronted with can't be blamed, it's just clay some ink on a paper or a piece of plastic. its me that makes the personal value.

You can try some tricks to make the negative positive for example you can try to imagine that you are the Creator of the art piece and you are happy about it and proud. and as if it's a role-play you can defend it with strong words or positive feelings.

What a lot of people do is thinking about what they are reminded of while looking or listening to the art piece. Or what it looks like. it looks like a cat or it reminds me of the sunsets on my honeymoon or it sound is like summer.

Another way is to give it more time. so after you felt negative about the artwork you just give it more time. you read it again or you look better and search. see all of it hear all of it slowly and conscious. while doing this try not to name what you see just look or just listen.

Sometimes an artwork gets more value by knowing more about the artist and his or her subject. or knowing more about the art piece itself. this is substantial with a lot of conceptual art. But this can also be tricky because you don't make your own thought or feeling in this way. sometimes the own idea can be more true for you then the idea of the artist.

And finally sometimes it just needs more time to settle and it needs distance or it needs another phase in your own life to understand or to appreciate the artwork.
