Anyone else remember that silly rabbit from the Disney animated Alice in Wonderland?
A few years ago, before all my spare time was eaten up by the demands of a couple of little dictators, I started reading the original "Alice In Wonderland." I've always enjoyed the story, grew up watching the Disney version, as well as a live-action movie from 1985 that my grandparents taped from tv with their VCR (wow, am I aging myself? lol)... I think that's when I first discovered the awesomeness that was Carol Channing... And, of course, I saw the reboot when it was released in 2010. Anyway, I decided that I really needed to read the original, get the full feel of the real Alice, not made for the big screen, but the original story.
In all honesty, I don't know if I ever finished reading it. (Damn, I really need to get back to it!) But this little guy was inspired by what I read, rather than a copy from a movie from someone else's imagination.
Drawn on a lovely cream-colored paper in a notebook a friend of mine made for me, and colored with some ancient Prismacolor colored pencils that my mom used when I was a kid.
(The contrast is a bit off, as it's a photo... the colors are softer IRL.)
I think I may revisit this idea, and draw out each of the characters, once I sit down with the book again.
