Moonburned

I used to live in the day

Always cloudy and dazed

Used to walk along with the shadows

That appeared beneath the light

Always casted by persons that are everything

But real

Then i became a blinded fool

Another cheater to the self

Trying my hardest to believe

That i am happy and not sad

Until certain someone came along

Taught me to see

And brought new songs

The moon showed me a new way

Not having to live under the day

Bliss and magic became something real

Every night filled with emotion

Hope to get by

A thrill for tomorrow

But the moon grew brighter by the day

Always shining in the darkness

Making all the stars seem so little

They were swallowed by her brightness

I never thought that it could happen

When i was feeling this excited

That it would actually end,

When i got moonburned
