Can ART change the world?

Personally, I do believe that Art can change the world. Before the television or radio, people communicated ideas and celebrated their civilizations through art. Art is an outlet of the individual mind with the help of universal content. Art is one of the most important motors of change, evolution and in some cases destruction. The religious institutions built secular power with art displayed in churches, monasteries, relics and manuscripts. Until this day, that form of art is still revered and in some cases worshipped. I think art has unlimited potential to create, shape and direct communities better than any other secular establishment. Art is also one of the paths to enlightenment and an effective form of spirituality.
