Tannhäuser Gate
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die."
-- Replicant Roy Batty (played by Rutger Hauer), Bladerunner
Rutger Hauer's awesome monologue, which is known as Tears in Rain to sci-fi fans, was much longer in the original script. Hauer felt that it contained too much technical jargon that would alienate the audience, so he omitted some of the text for a shorter version, and improvised bits to make it more emotionally powerful. I think he succeeded, it is one of my favorite movie scenes.

Very cool! That scene is one of my all time favorites as well! Gives me chills.
Yeah, I know what you mean: today I watch the clip again in youtube in order to link it here, and it gave me goosebumps! One of the best sci-fi movies, based on one of the best books, written by the best sci-fi author!
excellent artwork :)
