Imago pietatis.
I want to introduce you a very interesting "Subject", i studied Imago pietatis when i met Simone martini's art, his painting always surprise me and give me a lot of sensations, a mixture of sadness and love.
His art is so delicate and tender and his characters seems so sweet, lovely, true, real and a little bit sad.
So today i stare his Imago Pietatis, and i think about it.
Imago Pietatis means Christ last humiliation, a message of charity and of his last sacrifice for us all. It want to make people who see the painting reflect on what he did for us and feel compassion and love. And i do, i feel a lot of compassion when i see a Imago pietatis picture. And i feel Thankful too.
I think Imago pietatis is a strong concept, full of meanings. I show here some of my favorite Imago Pietatis paintings.

i must write more about the concept of compassion but im not able, i think it is something you just feel, hard to describe =)
....or something you understand...have capacity for...from your faith in the unseen which grows stronger if you study the scriptures under a teacher who teaches from the original scriptures of the Hebrew and the Greek and then still hard to describe. ^_^
Im very interested in learn more about spiritual stuff, i am christian but i still need to improve my faith and im in late with a good knowledge of the scriptures =( Im also interested in other religios, i read some about Hinduism etc..but i feel them too far from me. Well, i think step by step my knowledge and faith will grow, i hope so!

Religion is man by mans efforts/works seeking the approbation of God.
Chrisitianity is God seeking a relationship with man through His Son Christ Jesus.
It is...faith alone in Christ alone for salvation.
For you see God loved the world/mankind so much that He sent Hos uniquely born One that anyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life....from the original scriptures of the Greek New Testament...John 3.16
Once we become believers we are to place ourselves under the ministry of one who teaches from the original scriptures and grow into mature believers.

Thank you, i will see some of them very soon. I think the painters really put in these paintings all their faith and i suppose that see them closer it can be very emotional, also if i find emotional also when i see them in books. =)
