Galata morente.

Today i want to introduce you one of my favorite sculpture, i can not stop to staring it . It was used as a prototype for a log time in many sculptures, it was a big inspiration and influenced the ancient and roman sculptures for a long time. You can find it in Rome in the Capitolini museum, it was found during the archeology camp of villa Ludovisi , made before the 230 After the born of Christ, the original is probably made by Epigono, we only have a copy in marble in the Capitolini and many other copies are situated in others museum around the world . About the statues of the Galata, another very famous one is the Galata suicida, in my opinion a very beautiful and emotional sculpture.. Both are wonderful sculptures, tender and with a powerful psychology. Their faces seems real, and you can read on them the pain. These sculptures are very expressive and when you look at them you can see the emotion behind the marble.
