Matryoshka doll

                                

 

   My new project with my good old friends-brewers at your attention. It is literally - a hot pie. 

   This label and information about this beer  officially announced only TODAY. And now I can share new artwork with you. My friends finally had an opportunity to collaborate with Finnish brewers. This brewery called MAKU BREWING, may be you know them.

    At the beginning, we decided that there should be the epic character Finnish from Kalevala epos, good old Väinämöinen (this idea also will get its continuation, but it will be another story). But since the main selling of this beer will take place in Finland, we decided to make something specificly Russian on this label. And for this it was necessary to portray something connected with the symbol of Russian history or culture. Someone suggested a Matryoshka doll. Why not! 

   Those, who see my blog, probably will not be surprised that it is not so complicated for me to draw this in my own style :) If you do not know the main thing in Matryoshka  dolls is that it is one doll hiding in to another, bigger doll and it can be 5 or 7 dolls hiding in each other. But I drew the evil hop cone hiding inside a cute toy!
