thanks @ericvancewalton, we were certainly going for the old world mosaic look so it's great to hear that you're reminded of old European churches! Definitely great view, but on the 21st floor it's a bit scary to be out on the balcony ...it's the kind of thing you go out to for 10 minutes and then go back inside where you can breathe normally ;-)
I've seen some Rick Steve's shows from Rome and the Middle East and both featured ancient mosaics like that, they were very similar. I'd be mezmerized by that view. NYC is an amazing place. I nearly moved there in 1994. Great work Ruth!
I love those travel programs, they give me great visions of traveling! NY IS great indeed, I too was very close to moving there in 2014...in fact I've just written that in a draft for a post ;-)
