I did this painting 13 years ago I called it "the path" . There is places where the magnetic field of Earth connects to the magnetic field of the Sun, creating an uninterrupted path leading from our own planet to the sun’s atmosphere 93 million miles away.
One of my friend add that this painting doesn't look like only the magnetic field but resemble a plasma of charged particles continually moving between the Sun, Earth and other objects in space. Moving charges is the definition of "electric current", so the solar system is giant electric circuit . Langmuir "..used the name 'plasma' to describe the almost lifelike, self-organising behaviour of these ionised gas clouds in the presence of electrical currents and magnetic fields." http://electric-cosmos.org/electricplasma.htm
