I always thought that a phobia of dolls could relate to the fact that we're empathetic by nature and anything seemingly resembling a lifeless child could strike some string on the primordial tuning we have to experience revulsion or a need to run from anything thanatotic? No matter the reason I must say I'm a grown man with a discomfort of dolls and a fear of clowns. Great write up and definitely enjoyed it.
