Wood Carvings and/or Masks of Wrathful-Fierce Deities - Tibetan Buddhism - My Photo From Nepal From 1989
I was on a semester abroad in 1989 in Northern India, Nepal and Tibet. I believe I took this picture in Nepal. I believe these carvings represent wrathful-fierce deities found in Tibetan Buddhism. I think these were wood carvings but perhaps they were masks. The small skulls at the top of the masks represents our impermanence I believe.
