I'm not a huge fan of bikini armor. Fantasy female warriors like Brienne of Tarth from Game of Thrones, or Lagertha from Vikings are so much more appealing to me.

These character illustrations are an attempt at a female samurai in two different styles. I suppose I have tendencies when drawing and painting, but I still don't feel like I have a consistent style nor do I really care to develop one. I enjoy changing things up from time to time and doing the same thing over and over kinda burns me out.

What do you guys think? I know a lot of artists obsess over style. Do you think it's important? Let me know in the comments!

Thanks as always for looking! :)

There are many Korean fans! Thanks for your nice pictures!

These both came out really good! I feel like a lot of artists don't feel as though their style is consistent. I have many friends who feel the same way as you do, but when I look at their work I can clearly see their hand in it. Either way, I don't think it matters all too much for illustration. As long as your happy with the work you made in the end!

Nice work, Love the details on the right side and the colours on the left. I think that having an inconsistent style can also be a form of style so I do believe it is important. as long as it's your style.

Thanks @uncleroro! Yea I've had friends say similar things to me. I suppose it's something that can't be avoided regardless. Just like the way you talk, walk, and your mannerisms, it's just a part of you.

Quality and clarity of vision and concept may be better to focus on.
I like it when artists give their characters real clothes. Chicks in chain bikinis never made sense to me. If she is wearing something, she should have a good reason to be wearing it. Not just for eye candy, but instead imagine having to wear the outfit daily.
The image is a little dark on the left, colored side, makes it hard to pick out details.

I'm with you @jamethiel. I'm a lot more interested in what the characters accessories tell us about who they are. I wish Steemit had a typical click on an image -> see full res image interface, but if you right click the image and open it in a new tab you should be able too see the smaller details. Thanks!

@midlet dude this is some good work! How long does it take to complete start to finish? You deserve way more views, people may even pay you to draw something. Your already using minnowsupport promotion, add this to boost your posts man,
