Fountain of the Fallen Angel (Fuente del Ángel Caído) with resources

The Fuente del Ángel Caído known as the only sculpture dedicated to the devil himself without any visual effects related to devil's character.
(apparently it is settled that devil is a He :) )
It was made by Ricardo Bellver (famous Spanish artist and sculptor) in 1877.

The monument is 7 meters high and the sculpture height itself is about 2.65 meters.

It is interesting to now that the sculpture is installed at 666 meters above the sea level(ring a bell?)

I myself am a big fan of 3 dimention arts, I didn't get the chance to visit this beautiful masterpiece , but I imagine looking at it for some amount of time would make my day(hope to get to experience it soon).

The sculpture is inspired by John Milton masterpiece which is referring to fall of Lucifer from heaven.

At the end on the pedestal you can see some dragon head sort of things which are throwing water(that is why this is know as a fountain now days)

The sculptor

Ricardo Bellver was born 23 February 1845 in Madrid, Spain and Died 20 December 1924 at the age of 79 in Madrid, Spain. Th Fallen Angel is his most notable work. you can read more about him in wiki.
