Today I spent the evening painting a little watercolor mixed with gouace.
I loved painting this little still life as the sweet pea flowers that are in the painting smells just divine. I think it's one of my favorite flower scents and I am so happy my mums garden is full of them!
The painting is 20 x 13 cm and was painted with Gansai Tambi watercolors and Winsor & Newton gouache.
It's the end of August and already most people I meet are saying that '' fall is in the air''! Sadly I have to agree.. At least here in Norway. Hopefully there will still be a couple more weeks of sweet pea flowers blooming and sunny days but after that I am going back to Portugal where summer still will last a long time, yey!
I took some progress photos today when I was working and thought I would share them, enjoy!
And there you have it! :)
This was my first watercolor/ gouache still life and that is one of the reasons I painted it in such a small scale. It just feels more safe to realte to things on a small scale when you're not too comfortable with the medium.
This will also be my last painting as a 26 year old as tomorrow is my birthday! :)
I hope the new year ahead will be filled with at least as much painting as this one and hopefully more. :)
Thank you for stopping by and wish you all a good rest of the week! :)
