What would you do if you were the planet...? To recycle and reuse what we can, to become more sustainable as a species is an admirable start to bettering the way we interact with our planet as a consumerist society. The idea stems from brainstorming what I could do with excess wood I had harvested from another sculpture. Essentially, we are all responsible for the way our earth is treated, all life forms contribute to keeping earth alive except for an uncountable number of humans. We are the only species that actively pursues the slow but sure destruction of our planet through creating an immense amount of unnecessary waste and then dealing with this waste in inappropriate ways. With every species that goes extinct because of our ignorance we threaten not only ourselves (in the long term) but too many other species for it to even remotely make sense. Therefore, it is a joint effort keeping us interlinked with each other.
