I will not say much about the tablets, since I have been using the most (very) simple tablet that I received from a girl in far 2011 (?), Which cost me a lot, since I was drawing in 2014 (that is, for money) She is about 500grn. (About 1000 rubles.) Why am I doing this? To all appearances, the weather tablet does not, it must work and perform its functions. All.
But what can improve your quality as an artist, it seems to me much more interesting. Working only in CG or 2D (which one to like the designation), which also needs to be adapted, I found that I rested against the ceiling. That is, I stopped growing. And this is a big problem, because with the new picture I stopped being better, I did not get better than myself.
But I still found a recipe for myself. Intuitively, I decided that it would be much more effective and easier if I draw on paper, and then process everything in Photoshop. Over time, I got carried away and began to draw only on paper, using pencils and a ballpoint pen. This went on for a month, until I decided to return to the tablet. Working on the order, I suddenly found that the month was not in vain. The sketchbook and pencil have done their good work. I began to see and feel much better the object that I need to draw. I do not know if it's sometimes useful to take a time out and go to classics, but I know for sure - there's something in it. So I bought watercolors and brushes. Although I can not allocate sufficient time to study watercolors, I still sometimes try to work with this technique. I love watercolor, especially when watching real experts, one such specialist is Dima Rebus, be sure to look at the work of this young genius, he is very good.
It remains for me to throw off a few sketches on public display, thanks to which, I have grown a little bit technically. But to work on myself as much more, and the longer and further I go on honing my drawing technique, the more I understand - this way is endless.
