[The Word in Art #29] Original Drawing & Verse: "the Unity of Brotherhood"
"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity!"
(Psalm 133:1)
(Image: Original drawing--"Brothers Portrait", 11" x 14", pencil on paper by Matt Philleo)
I did this drawing for a man in my church who lost his brother (on the right) several years ago. This was meant to bring encouragment to him. I took two different photos and combined them together, and then added his hand on his shoulder. That's the beauty of being able to do a custom drawing. You can combine different elements together and include things that weren't in the original photo, to make it more special and meaningful for the customer.
I really enjoyed capturing this kinship, this brotherhood between the two men, and the encouragement it brought as it was given as a gift from his wife.
Hope you enjoyed this post today!
