Digital painting practice in paint tool sai, two paintings in one post......

hello there, its been about two weeks since i last posted. my last post was about a pencil drawing that i was working on.....
i had a rough couple of weeks since then so i couldn't focus very much on my drawings.

the best thing with drawings i did for the last few days is watch a lots of video tutorials and make two very simple paintings in paint tool sai.

these were just practice drawing so i didn't take any process shots(which would have been very little.)

the first painting that i am going to share is a painting of eyes.

i like the eyes more than any other parts of the body. so even if i am not in a mood for drawing i like to draw the eyes.....

you can see that the eyes in thing painting are totally similar, that's because i drew only one eye.... then copied it flipped it and blended the color in between.

this was a fun thing to do.... i didn't use any reference photo to draw this.

my second painting is a sketch of a female face.....
i didn't use any reference photo for this one either.

while i was drawing these one i realize that i like sketching more than coloring,,,, using the smallest brush was very fun....

it was like using a pencil and shading with cross hatching method.....
then i just put an overlay mode on top of the sketch and put some color.....

i wasn't planning on drawing on it more......

so these are the two paintings that i wanted to share today....

i am feeling good so i hope i will get back to my pencil drawing of ebony maw very soon.....
