🔹 MY ART - watercolored leopard - process
Hi everyone, after some time I come with a new animal painting. I love to paint cats, so for today I chose the leopard.
This amazing animals can be found in Asia and Africa. They are listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List according to the low population. The leopard occurs in only 25% of its global range through history.
Leopard looks similar to jaguar, but the spots on their fur are different. Jaguars have smaller rossetes without central spots. They are both melanistic, which is an oposit of albinism. We know melanistic jaguars and leopards as black panthers.
They are strong and great climbers, so they take they pray on a tree, where they consume it. They can run at speeds of up to 58 kilometres per hour.
I used watercolors White Nights for my work as usual, two types of brushes and fully cotton archival paper.
