A woman peeling apples
This painting is one of the most important and famous works of art in the history of Dutch art. Peter de Hoek painted a woman peeling apples in 1663 and depicted a home scene of that era, showing a woman with her daughter busy with apple peeling.
The most important feature of this painting is the unique technique used by the artist in dealing with light, as we see the light creeping through the window to flood the dark part of the room decor. This particular feature prompted some art historians to begin to believe that the owner of the painting was Jan Vermeer, who was known for his interest in home scenery and his ability to represent the light. But later on, the other point of view was attributed to Peter de Hoek, who seemed to be influenced by Vermeer.
Hawk was born in Delft, the Netherlands, and educated by Karl Verettius. From 1650 to 1660, Hook completed his best works of art, which gave him the title of the greatest house-poet in the Netherlands. Only Vermeer, who had most of his paintings, had a single, specific pattern of painting a single woman standing or sitting in one corner of the room, unlike De Hoek, who painted family family scenes.
Hawk women are mostly wives, mothers or daughters, accompanied by children and servants.
In general, the artist's paintings derive their themes from the Dutch House's vocabulary of blanks, clothes, decorations and windows that seep out light to reflect on the walls, furniture and floors. The paintings of the artist, in general, provide a miniature picture of what the Dutch houses were in the seventeenth century.
It is not known on the face of the pieces the date of De Hoek's death, but he almost certainly died at the age of fifty-five after spending the last years of his life in a mental health facility.

Definitely looks master piece of art!
Wow!
Incredible and unique art. If this was done many centuries ago, I wonder what he would have done in this century .
i just look at the peel part that is given to her daughter.....
Wow... First I thought it can be a snake then had to watch again.
And not only the light but also the decors he wants to expose by his painting is nothing but a master piece.
