Hi everyone!

Before I go on to discuss today's office art, allow me to steal a couple of minutes to THANK YOU for your support! I love reading your wonderful comments and I feel grateful for each and everyone of you that spends even 2 seconds on my post. I am very very lucky to have you in this semi-virtual life of mine.

A thank you of course is not enough, and I will definately revert with something more tangible (since this community is about turning the intangible into tangible).

Has any of you watched The Memoirs of a Geisha?

Do you recall the first 10 minutes the description of the differences in the personalities of the main character and her sister. There was a very poetic analogy made, where one sister resembled a tree and the other (the star in te film) resembled water.The point was that water is fluid and will find its way through adversity, while the tree is immovable and rooted and will have to endure the hardships.

I have often reflected on this comparison and how I have handled myself through difficult times and have come up to the conclusion that a person needs both qualities in order to live a fulfilling life. What I mean is, we need to become trees when the key to our survival is the value code we hold in our conciousness. On the other hand, our values and ethics should not root us down to a certain attitude when this attitude is no longer relevant to the everchanging environment we live.

Childhood needs turn into Dreams as we grow up and become goals in our adulthood. Eventually our goals, irrespective of how big our small they are, makes us get out of bed every morning. Every day brings or may bring something new into our lives. Life is full of surprises.

We will count on our values to assess the new conditions. We will count on our ability to adapt in these new conditions in order to continue our journey towards a happier and enlightened life.
