My new art exhibition is ON!
Last Monday it was the opening night of the art exhibition I participate along 15 more painters from Naxos! It is the first time that such an event takes place in Greece, and the night was very emotional and fun.
It is a fact that since this was the first effort to gather all Naxian painters in Athens and the organizers were politicians for the most part, there were a few challenges we had to face varying from practical difficulties to the promotion and catering of the event. But Naxians have a secret weapon in all events they organize; raki.
Raki is the traditional homemade drink from grapes that has way more than 40% alcohol and everyone get really happy really fast. After a couple of shots, my friends who weren't used to it got seriously happy. They were laughing hysterically all the time, not without reason of course. I will save the catchy lines that were dropped there and there for a future post. For now I will stick to art ...and Steemit.
Apart from the fact that all artworks I exhibited were all published for the 1st time on Steemit, to promote the platform instead of regular name tags I used a username tag with the Steemit logo that @onceuponatime made for me to wear at Steemfest. ( Dear @onceuponatime the painting I made for you was one of the most popular paintings in the exhibition :) so I had to tell them it's sold to a Canadian collector :) )
In the CV circulated around newspapers and naxian blogs I referred to my Steemit blog as they main place to find my art and in few weeks time I will give a radio interview about art on Steemit, and how to use this blockchain to promote your art.
In fact all artists were awed by the possibilities provided by Steemit, the blockchain and the cryptoworld. To be honest I don't believe they understood 1/3 of what I said but they all searched for my Steemit profile and the posts I've made on my work and will definitely look into it.
Anyway, enough with words. Below you'll find some photos from the exhibition.
That is a terrific looking exhibition! And your promotion should be a big boost for steemit in Greece! Maybe in thankfulness steemians will take up a collection to buy you some new jeans LOL
Hahahahahahahahahaha truth is my friends warned me that with these jeans I don't look like a high earner lol
PS. I 'll organize a steem fundraise for myself :)
What an amazing venue for an exhibition. You work looks great, it sounds like you have exciting times ahead too!
Thank you very much @opheliafu! We'll see how things go but it is definitely interesting to see how people grasp new concepts when you put the practical aspect in them (where and how to promote your art online, what is blockchain etc)... even artists react to that!
Fabulous collection... Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for viewing and leaving a comment!!

Thank you very much!
Beautiful and congrats! This space is very similar to the underground vaults at the American Academy in Rome. It's always awesome to see artists display in historic places!
Thanks so much! Indeed it is a great experience but such beautiful venues steal the attention away from the artworks!
Would love to be there. Such an awesome location !
We would love it if you were here too! Maybe next time 😊
I would love to visit GREECE again one day very soon and if I do so I let you know for sure 🙌
