Sketchbook series light studies of a girl
I was extremely happy with how things turned out, this piece took about an hour and lots of practice to get to this stage!
My number one trick, never draw on white if you're not confident with your pieces, the blank canvas is very intimidating to most new artists so splotch colors there to make it more friendly and approachable
Right now i just have the basic shapes, im not caring too much about rendering right now
But i just want the shape roughly to how i want it, like " Is this how much a space a face should take"
Once im happy with it i start putting in detail so i can stay interested in painting it because of course the first stages arent the prettiest
Placing in some core light
A bit of hair and rest of the body blocked in
Refining a bit more, dont need to be perfect and thats what i like about how i do things, it doesnt have to be pixel perfect
And heres the process all compiled together so you dont need to get dizzy scrolling up and down
I hope you enjoy my process and i hope it gives you insight on how my thought processes goes as im painting!
