Drawing of Norse goddess Sol - Smite series #1

Hi everyone, so I made another drawing today which is a little bit more challenging. Me and my fiance played this online game a little while ago called Smite, in this game you get to play with different gods and goddesses in player versus player matches. I personally love mythology from all pantheons and I read a lot about it so naturally I fell in love with this game because it was so intriguing.

One day after we played a few of those matches my fiance gave me a challenge to try and draw each one of the gods and goddesses of the game as they look on the game, so I would have my own collection of mythology drawings. I'm now going to start that challenge and share the drawings on my page, it will be a Smite drawing series where I am going to draw gods and goddesses of all the pantheons in the game. Sol is the Norse goddess of the sun.

I started of by gathering a few of my pencils and a blank peace of paper.

Then I found a picture of reference to the goddess I was drawing and drew the outlines of her on the paper, then the shading started.

When I got to the face I got really unsure of how it looked but I still continued to draw , I outlined all the detail darker before starting to shade the face to make it a bit easier for me to know where I want it darker and where I want it lighter.

Then I started the detail shading like the mouth and eyes.

After that I shaded the face and the areas surrounding the face.

Then I shaded the rest of her body , I added in my own little twists to her look in the game by adding a few piercings , because I feel it fits with her look.

After a long time of shading and fixing I finally finished.
