Anatomy Study
Studying is important. I don't care who you are or how famous or skilled of an artist you are, studying will always be a part of your daily regiment.
I just thought I would share a study I just completed right now before bed. I had some fun doing it and I feel like it really helped to relax me before bed. Here are the steps I took all the way to completion.
My goal with this was to see if I could express the pose quickly and with economic and strategic marks. I feel pretty good about it actually. Thanks for checking out my art!

I thought I commented on this yesterday but I guess not. You do such a great job with these poses. Are you referencing off a book or just images online? I need to practice sketching muscles.
Thank you! I'm just referencing photos online in google, pinterest, and other sources. This is also a fantastic tool here:

However, nothing beats studying from life. There is a local art studio in the town I live in and they offer a figure drawing class once a week on Tuesdays. I try to go when I can (it's been a while because I've been so busy). I would look to see if there is a meet-up group that does live figure drawing sessions in your area as that is often the best way to learn. Our eyes a millions times better at perceiving form, color, and value than a camera.
I'll check out that link.
They host a bunch of Dr. Sketchy's events here. I've been trying to remind myself to sketch people hanging out at the coffee shop for practice before the event. I get really nervous when I know that each pose is timed.
The two books I mention in @maryshakova's comment below are fantastic books I would recommend as well. Same with Eliot Goldfinger's "Human Anatomy for Artists" book if you can get that one too.
Putting it in my wish list of books. 😊
very good results, I really like it
where do you learn to do it ? :)
Thank you for the kind words. I learned through practice. I have been practicing every day for a few years now. I also purchased some books on figure drawing. The two I absolutely recommend are:
"Figure Drawing: Design and Invention" by Michael Hampton.

"Figure Drawing For All It's Worth" by Andrew Loomis

Anyone can learn to draw or paint with practice!
thank you for giving me good advice from you
I will try it
true as you say, all we can do with effort and learning
No problem.
