Two-Point Stance #17 - Smile and Wave Animations!
Hi everyone!
Here's day 15!
Shuckle
Shuckle is a mollusk-like pokemon that gathers berries to store in its shell. These are decomposed and mixed with body fluids to produce a sweet juice that is sought after by collectors. They do not like to fight, and would rather hide under rocks than be discovered out in the open. Shuckle have some of the lowest base HP, Attack, Special Attack, and Speed. However, they hold the highest Defense and Special Defense stats out of all pokemon. A certain move can be used to swap the defense and attack stats, making shuckle a complete powerhouse. The popular phrase "don't fuckle with shuckle" was invented for this reason.
Pretty simple one today. I wanted to work on more animation!
Here's the rundown anyhow:
Lineart
Unfortunately my Surface Pen seems to be running out of battery. Some of the lines came out very rough.
Flat Colors
All flat colors are colored in with the "fill/paintbucket" tool on separate layers, with the option "reference other layers" set
Shading
After locking transparency on each color, a darker shade is used to give Shuckle some depth!
Animation!
Here's something REALLY quick I wanted to do for fun! I wanted to animate Shuckle's head and tentacles too, but I unfortunately had to move on to something else!

Quick animation of the Karssa pic from a few days ago! I actually forgot to save it as a CSP file, so I had to go over the PNG and change things around manually. This was very very simple and only 3 frames. Just seeing what I can do in GIF's!
The first frame is the original (1). I simply touched it up a bit, and moved the arm downward (2) and upward (3). So the sequence is 1, 2, 1, 3 and it repeats!
I hope you guys enjoyed this little fun update! I'll work on mini animations like this, see how good I can get them down! More nature to come tomorrow.

Hey there! Sorry for the late reply, went to bed for the night. What a surprise to see today! :o
Honestly it's kind of funny. I know you can animate pretty easily in the program I use, ClipStudioPaint, but I've been using ezgif.com to make the GIF's from videos for a lot of my previous posts, so I stuck with that! They have a pretty easy "Make GIF" feature, all it takes is a bit of playing with the options as long as you have the frames saved as images. Very basic and would recommend if you're also new to animations!

I find making them in even Google photos or really any of the popular photo editors have them. If you have one then you are set. My girlfriend @RumDancer / @PrudishNudist makes hers on the google app with pictures or tool wiz, I believe. I have used Tool Wiz Photos for my art as well. Here is one of hers that she did as pictures and then clicked the animate option. It took about 30 pictures I think? Maybe 20? Then you can select the order, speed, etc. She has done a couple more, I am sure if you have any questions she will help. She has done a few kinds now. She seems to like doing them :) In any case, I wasn't try to step on toes or anything. Just wanted to say thanks to linebacker for sharing then I saw your question :) Art on!

Haha yes! I was pumped when the RNG picked Shuckle :)
So most of my digital work I do in ClipStudioPaint. Shuckle was drawn out here, I made about 5 frames for the smile, and I used www.ezgif.com to piece everything together. I know CSP carries animation features inside, but still being new to the program I don't quite know how to do it hahaha
EZGif is really simple to use if you're new to animation like I am. I'd recommend it :)
