Quickie pen art tribute for Mr. Marvel
The world was shocked hearing the news about the death of Stan lee, the co creator Marvel comics at the age of 95.
He was born on December 28, 1922 and just passed away this year of November 12.
His writings influenced a lot of people, including me probably but there comes a time when he was still unaware about the happiness and entertainment his creations had given to the people, he was once embarrassed by his job comparing himself to other people with different professions. He then realized that the best thing you can give to people is entertainment and we can definitely see how the people love his work.
I was already inspired by his creations even when I was still a kid, i even used to draw his heroes like spiderman, wolverine, hulk and a lot more.
Also, his series of superhumans are absolutely cool!
Mr Lee was one of the reasons that had driven my eagerness and passion to draw, thats why im very thankful to him.
And as a sign of respect and to show sympathy for his death, here's a quick drawing tribute for him.
So the first thing I did was creating an outline of him.
Then i started adding up some of his details. Including his eyeglasses, mustache and a lot more.
I started inking afterwards. I first added the first layer which was single diagonal hatches.
I continued inking until it was 40% done. Yes, more layers of hatch for dark tones.
I added more details, more hatches and ink. This was 90% done.
I then finalized everything. Added more tones.
And then... Its done!
May you rest in peace Mr. Stan Lee :) thanks!
