Asian elephant painting

Here is a painting I created of an Asian elephant I created on a 12"x 16" canvas with acrylics in 2014.

It took about 8 hours to complete and loved working on the detail. I was very happy that the person who bought it was at art school and thought my painting would be a good one to study. I was very honored and humbled at this.

This is one of the works I am uploading to show the history of my painting and how I have progressed over the past 3 years or so. Hopefully you will see the improvement as I go along?

This was painted 4 years ago when I was getting back into painting after a two decade break and I'm sorry but I forgot to upload this earlier. I really wanted to load them up in order from oldest to newest, so I have jumped back a little in the date here.

I give a lot of thanks to all the artists out there sharing their process which helped me develop. I will be sharing newer paintings as I go along, and the photo quality gets better too. I have also done some time lapse videos so you can see my process better.

I really do appreciate any comments and constructive criticism as I go along this path of learning.
