Where to Draw the Line?
This is day seven of my artwork a day, personal challenge, from the end of last year. I used pastel pencils on coloured paper with a touch of acrylic to bring the highlights out. I was using obvious marks, crosshatching, to build the forms, rather than smooth shading. I feel it added to the over effect of the image.
In the later drawings I discovered an interesting trick with shading which gave me finer control. Rather than using my fat finger to blend the shading, cotton buds have the accuracy, AND, you don't end up accidentally leaving dirty finger prints on other parts of the drawing.

Wow. I had to keep staring at the painting to let the beauty sink in. Hardwork certainly pays off!
Thank you @mindboggle! =)
