Paper Mosaic - Sunflower

Sunflowers are my absolute favorite flower, like ever.
Heaven is a rolling field of sunflowers.
I could stay there forever.
I could stay there forever.
So naturally I wanted to make a sunflower mosaic.
And I wanted to make it spectacular.

Sorry for the crap photos.
The first step was of course, tracing in pencil so I could erase mistakes
and arrange the squares exactly the way I wanted.

One of the most amazing things about sunflowers is the spiral in the center.
I tried to mimic that mathematical precision, but failed after the first few spirals.
I must have erased 1000 times before I decided it was fine as is.

And then came the color.

I decided not to ink the squares and give it a more natural feel.
And I was lazy.
And I was lazy.

Finally, a border, and it's done!

I have no idea how long this took, but it was a long time.
Done on 18"x24" Bristol paper with pencil and markers.
(And the blue markers were blueberry-scented.)

Wow this is amazing... I love it...
Thank you! :)
