MADHUBANI PAINTINGS....!!!!

So here I come with one another form of art, with is also invented in INDIA.

MADHUBANI ART is majorly done in village parts of INDIA and NEPAL. This form of art was invented by household women in order to decorate their house on various occasions like wedding, festivals, child birth etc.

Generally, there is no space left. It is created keeping religious gods, plants (tulsi), birds , trees, sun, moon etc. And the colors used in the painting are all natural colors made from different plants. And further painted by a pointed object such as matchstick are being used.

These were generally painted on walls and floors but made there way to papers and canvas.

It is still practiced and kept alive in the institutions spread across Mithila region. Kalakriti in Darbhanga, Vaidehi in Madhubani, Benipatti in Madhubani district and Gram Vikas Parishad in Ranti are some of the major centers of Madhubani painting which has kept this ancient art form alive.

I did a little experiment over this. I took Madhubani art on a black mount board and used neon pens of different colors.
