Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea. Step-by-step drawing with markers

My name is Irina and I am from very beatiful but a little bit strange country - Russia. I am an artist and I think this is not surprising nowadays). Why I did come here? I am looking for communication with interesting and talanted person. I will be glad to find friends and good interlocutors here.

And this is my first post.

Do you like animated films of Hayao Miyazaki? I think that Hayao Miyazaki — the best animator of cinematography. His creations is filled with goodness and the real magic. A few days ago I was in a terrible mood and decided to see something good and interesting. The choice fell on the cartoon "Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea". Time passed very quikly. At the end of the viewing my soul was filled with positive energy. And I decided to draw.

First of all I drew the contours with a pencil.

Then I drew the contours with a liner and erased pencil's lines.

In the third step I drew the jellyfish with mint marker.

Then I drew the water with blue marker. I used light and dark shades of blue. And then painted the figure of Ponyo.

I concretised my picture by gradual drawing the layers with markers.

I decided to add volume and shadows to my draw.

Finally i drew the contours with a black permanent marker and added some details with white gel pen.
