My Daughter Is Made Out Of Soda Cans
I am 23 and I don't really care to have children anytime soon. But when I was taking a college course we were asked to make something out of junk. The statue only had to be 12 inches tall. But with art I always like to go beyond what my art teacher suggests.
I don't have a lot of "junk" Laying around. But I do have an addiction to Mountain dew. So I always had an endless supply of soda pop cans. Because of my art style, I really liked to do creepy women. So I decided to make a creepy little girl....
What was she made of ? Used Mountain dew cans, Tape and paint. And staples to initially hold those cans together. She can stand straight up on her own with out any thing supporting her. I wanted her to be creepy and real I didn't want you to see the cans other than the ones on her feet. I did this project for school "Found object sculpture" I really ended up liking how it turned out.
I wanted her as creepy as possible, So I have her a super long tongue, A bloody distorted face, Curly crazy brown hair with white spots. My professor loved it, It's now used as an example for the class.
But sadly my daughters life ended tragically. When she was accidentally left in the wind and the rain, Which tore her apart. She received a proper funeral, Where she was recycled.
Your creativity and initiative shine through on this project; good work!
Thank you! I remember slicing up my hands a bit, As I cut the cans into strips of metal haha! I wasn't whiling to give up.
You succeed, she really looks creepy...
Thank you so much :)
