A Mesmerizing Exhibition that You just Don't Wanna Leave...

As the art season in NYC moves forward, I want to share with you another amazing exhibition opened last week in Chelsea!

It's a solo show of the Brazilian artists duo OSGEMEOS in the Chelsea gallery Lehmann Maupin.

"OSGEMEOS (b. 1974, São Paulo, Brazil), translated as the "twins" in Portuguese, have worked together since birth. As children, they developed a distinct way of playing and communicating through artistic language. With the encouragement of their older brother, Arnaldo, and the introduction of hip hop culture in Brazil in the 1980s, OSGEMEOS found a direct connection to their dynamic and magical universe and a way to communicate with the public." - lehmannmaupin.com

The exhibition has transferred the gallery space into a colorful cartoonish atmosphere, yet the topics of the artists' paintings and murals are not always that easy to catch at first sight.

Their unique graffiti style is a mixture of the hip hop culture and their native country's traditional paintings, which gives their works this hypnotizing splash of colors.

I was totally in love with the style and with the different mediums the artists work with - installations, paintings, murals, embroidery...

Once you get to know OSGEMEOUS, you will recognize their art anywhere!
