The Peanut House

in #art10 years ago (edited)

Another black and white piece also a couple of years old. When coming from analogue painting and printmaking, the colours of a computer-screen seem somewhat dull, so a lot of my digital art is in black and white. Below you'll find a link to the high resolution file, in this case probably more interesting than the scaled down version.

Published first time at my Diaspora profiles.

The image is made with Krita my favorite Linux drawing application, It is licenced CC-BY and is available in highres here - 4,400px × 3,200px - 5.9 MB, 16 bit greyscale, PNG

Thank you! It was one of the first thing I made when I had my Wacom 2-3 years ago, and it evolved simply from simply making lines and trying out brushes. It actually started out as rotated 90° clockwise before I suddenly saw the peanut and the house. The smaller house behind was added later to give some depth.

Hey this is so cool!! I love how you drove your imagination to the point of surrealism like this! By the way, I'm an illustrator, so a brother from profession is congratulating you ;)

Thank you so much. I think we signed up about the same time so your work was some of the first I saw. I really like it especially your twisted perspective things. Until now I have posted things from this Diaspora (anarchist hippie facebook) page: https://www.datataffel.dk/u/katharsisdrill with my digital experiments, all free CC licenced. Most of them are, like this one improvised.

You can also see some other drawings here: https://pod.orkz.net/posts/2540653 . I have been busy with other projects and has only made the odd illustration for magazines when specifically asked. So these are also just for-fun-drawing made for a roleplaying game.
