Hephaestus. God of fire, iron and volcanoes, and God for artisans, blacksmiths and sculptors.

Hefaistos creating the armour for his more or less half-sister Athena. From Wikimedia

In Athenian Greek tradition often depicted as a normal artisan, but described in the ancient texts of Hesiod and Homer as being so deform and hideous that his mother Hera threw him off of the Olympos. He was said to reside under the volcano Mount Etna in southern Italy. And it is this underground, volcanic workshop and the hideousness that made me name this drawing after him. A large clumsy beetle-like creature seems to be working in a dark, cavernous, underground smithy.
