🎨Touring The National Gallery 🎨
The National Gallery contains Western European paintings from 1250 to 1900. This gallery is open to the public and completely free to tour. I find that you can learn so much for paintings. Each painting has a story behind it, and I find it fascinating to learn about them.
One of the most interesting paintings I found in the gallery is called the "Execution of Lady Jane Grey" painted in 1833. Lady Jane Grey reigned for a whole nine days before she was disposed of supporters of Queen Marry in 1553. This painting depicts her last days before she was beheaded in the London of Tower.
The museum also had paintings of Van Gough. One of my favorite pieces that was on display by Van Gough was the painting of sun flowers. The photo is a bit slanted, but it was hard to get a good shot of it since there were so many people standing in front of the painting. This was the best I could do. LOL.

Interesting paintings you showed @karensuestudios I also am a painting admirer and I would pause for one to look at it for a while and ponder how it was painted and what was the painter was thinking in the moments it was being created.
