🎨 Day in the life of an artist: How to paint with watercolors 🎨
Hi friends! Sometimes I wake up and I just have an urge to paint. Yesterday was one of those days, and I decided to play around with my watercolors. I wanted to make a painting for a friend, and so I spent my morning painting.
I recorded my progress because I thought it would be fun for you to see how I create my artwork.
First I start with a light pencil outline of the moth. Then I place my first set of colors down. How much water you add to your painting will control the type of brush stroke used.
With watercolors, it is really fun to create paint in layers. The more layers you add to the painting, the more vibrant it becomes. Here is a photo of my painting with a couple of layers.
Once the base layers dry, you can add the final details. Here is the image of the first moth.
The next to moths, I applied the same process. Here is a close up of how my other two moths turned out.
I hope this post inspires you to wake up and get creative! Whatever it is in your life, may you go out and pursue it!
Love,
Karen
