Dark Sea Waves Painting In Acrylics (Beginner)
Hello Steemians! This is my mood in today’s blog I painted this dusky sea wave painting.
This is also classified as a seascape object in painting. I have a huge obsession of sea waves. I love watching them at any time of the day, I love to take photos of them and so I did painting waves also.
I did this painting without following or setting any guidelines in making this. I just played with my own imagination and how I tried to make my masterpiece realistic. I am still also a beginner, so if you are reading this and you want to paint, go get your art materials now!
MATERIALS:
- Canvass (In my painting I used watercolor pad atleast you have a paper that has a very thick surface)
- Paint Brushes (Small-Medium sized brushes)
- Acrylic paints – Black, White, Gray, Blue (optional) – (I used gray mostly because the gray pain I have is quite similar than a blue shade since I’m painting a dusk colored painting)
I guess I won’t make you wait too long…so I will show you how I painted this as easy as a piece of cake.
First, I mixed Gray & White paint then added a small amount of black paint. This serves as the color of a sky which is dark gray.
Then I also painted a far view of mountains using black paint and dabbed them with a little bit of light gray paint.
The next part I painted was the waves, so I started painting the biggest wave in the picture so I used my Bluish gray paint (You can also mix a gray paint first then add a bit of blue paint to make it bluish gray). I formed the waves by dabbing them using my small brush.
After I painted the dark shade of the wave, I came to layer the waves with a lighter color than what I did earlier. The application is still in a dabbing motion.
I made it lighter and lighter until I reached painting the bottom and back of the sea.
Then, I used white paint to make the waves more emphasized. I also added waves on the other parts of the ocean to make it more realistic.
And here it is! Here’s how I made this dusk sea waves painting.
I hoped you like my painting! Isn’t it bad for a beginner?
I can’t wait to show you my next creations, from my imagination.
XOXO,
