Hello Steemit!

Hey everyone

I heard about Steemit a little while ago and recently rediscovered it so decided to jump in and see what it was all about. So far I'm pretty impressed with it, it's very unique to say the least and I am hopeful for it's future.

So who am I? I'm just a normal bloke (Australian slang) trying to find his way in life. I'm actually an electrical engineer by day and still trying to figure out what I want to do as an engineer, I still have no idea, but I'm thinking it's normal for people to take a long time to figure out what it is they want to do in life. I have become very interested in cryptocurrency lately and still learning about it, there is so much going on now from when I first heard about bitcoin and gave in no thought (what a regret that is!), the future looks exciting.

Me and my best buddy, Otto. He's a Rottweiler cross Blue Heeler.

I love to travel, although as I live in Australia it can be difficult to go often, it takes a long time to get anywhere and flights are expensive from here. I actually got the opportunity to work in Austria (yes, it's very similar to Australia) for 6 months during university to build an electric snowmobile prototype, which was really cool, see the image below (yes, that's me in the drivers seat).

That trip is where I caught the travel bug. I have been back to Europe once since then, it definitely wasn't long enough and now it's hard to find the time to get back overseas to scratch that travel itch.

This is me in Scotland a couple of years ago, really miss that place, but I don't miss the beard, well I still rock a beard, but not that long!

I'm also an airbrush artist, I have spent the last 3 years developing my skill with the airbrush and this is what I plan to post about most of the time among other topics. I'm very interested to see how Steemit works as an alternative platform to Instagram and Facebook because it it so unique, hopefully I will find the best way to approach it, any tips would be great!
